This training course takes you through the different stages of setting up and running a quality Youth Exchange project. The training is designed for newcomers to Youth Exchanges and Erasmus+.
This training course is for voluntary and/or professional youth workers working directly with young people. It offers support in developing and applying for your first international Youth Exchange in the framework of the Erasmus+: Youth Programme.

The aim of the training course is to offer an international learning experience that can make you feel more confident about taking the first steps into organising your own youth exchange.

Objectives:

To provide an introduction to the Erasmus+ Youth programme, focusing on the project type called Youth Exchanges
To demonstrate how young people themselves can be involved in planning and running such projects
To offer an individual and group learning experience through a simulated process on setting up a Youth Exchange project
To develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to organise a Youth Exchange, based on the non-formal learning practice, principles, and quality standards of the EU youth programmes
To enable participants to reflect on their learning by using a Youthpass – the strategy on the recognition of non-formal learning in the youth field
To offer the opportunity to meet possible partner groups and to make contacts in other countries
Programme:

The training course lasts for 3 full working says + arrival day and departure day. It is a learning-by-doing experience, built on a simulation exercise mixed with workshops, info sessions, activities to improve the group dynamics, and ends with an evaluation.

The Network of National Agencies for Erasmus+: Youth in Action organises 3-5 of this training course each year.

Deine Freunde und du möchtet in eurer Umgebung ein Projekt umsetzen und braucht noch (finanzielle) Unterstützung? Worauf müsst ihr achten und wie sind die nächsten Schritte? Nehmt an dem Projektentwicklungsworkshop für Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene teil. Unter dem Motto „von der Idee bis zum Antrag“ bekommen die TeilnehmerInnen die Grundsätze und Richtlinien der Solidaritätsprojekte erkärt.

Das Training bietet dir Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung deiner Projektidee und beim möglichen Transfer dieser Idee in einen Antrag für Solidaritätsprojekte

Inhalte:

Auseinandersetzung mit dem Europäischen Solidaritätskorps und Schlüsselbegriffen;

Einblick in Projektplanung und -design;

Erarbeitung des eigenen Projekts mit verschiedenen Methoden und Zugängen,

Methoden für die Umsetzung eigener Projekte; Vertiefung weiterer Aspekte je nach Bedürfnis der Teilnehmer: Finanzielles, Sichtbarkeit, Begleitung und Coaching, Programmplanung im Projekt

Improving the impact of Non Formal Education (NFE), principles and methods in creating empowerment opportunities for young people as real actors of the society (from local to Europe).
Why this Training Course?

To stimulate the participants to feel and reflect about the power of non-formal education (NFE) by experimenting different kind of non-formal educational methods.
To analyze the role and reception of NFE in our different countries within a common Europe.
To discover and debate the European strategy of NFE.
To fight against the growing consuming approaches towards young people in the non-formal education field.
To explore meanings, roles and complementary of different educational dimensions(formal, non-formal, informal).
To reconsider daily youth work practices.
How it will be done?

In order to have real impact, the participants experience an innovative approach, using a full immersion in the experiential learning cycle: doing/ feeling, reflecting, transferring...

The TC is not limited to the couple of days the participants spend together but starts before the actual encounter. Participants should therefore be well aware that they will be actively involved from the very beginning.

Pre-Training Immersion

Starting around 6 weeks before the training, through the “NFE News”, participants will receive weekly news which invites reflection on pedagogical issues and collect information / documentation. Participants are part of the building of this NFE News. Also a closed Facebook group will be created to promote interactions between participants before TC starts.

Issues / topics tackled: perception / recognition of NFE in your country, methods you use/have used…

A Fundamental Flow during the Training

Experiencing: different educational settings, different non formal education methods (role play, simulation game, exercises...).

Reflecting: on the methods and its impacts, on the power and limits of NFE, on building a pedagogical process…

Transferring: to the own reality of participants, in order to improve ways of working with young people.

Sharing: different perceptions, current situations and experiences.

Developing: the building capacity of the participants, by including them in the decision process of the project designing (participants will decide some sessions they feel they need to have) but also in the implementation of the program (“Power to the People – the People who are you” moments).

Throughout the course, our objectives are to:

Provide participants with a deep understanding of the role, importance, and possibilities of non-formal education (NFE) methods in youth work, specifically through the lens of innovative methods in promoting social equality.
Enhance participants' competencies by exploring the meanings, roles, and complementarities of different educational approaches and methods (formal, non-formal, informal). Through practical application, participants will implement non-formal and drama methods to address gender issues.
Familiarize participants with the principles of NFE and their impact on program building. The training will offer opportunities to experience and reflect on the power of non-formal education and drama, particularly in the context of discrimination and stereotypes.
Led by two experienced trainers with a background in both youth work and Erasmus+ projects, the training will be exclusively based on non-formal education and drama methods. This approach aims to help participants achieve their objectives, improve their youth work practices, and inspire them to integrate more innovative methods into their work. Sustain Ability is a training course which aims to provide youth workers with tools and ideas to work with young people addressing "green topics" from different angles. Sustainability is a wide topic and we plan to delve deeper into only a few points such as green politics, circular economy, food sovereignty, ecoanxiety, depopulation. The aim is to work together on finding ways to bring these topics to the table in a fun way without producing the effect of catastrophe. We will share our good practices and hope to open up discussions while developing methodologies and solutions..



It is designed as a training and networking opportunity where we will also have time to get to know each other, visit different green and community-based initiatives in Zaragoza and have time to brainstorm for future synergies.



Objectives

-Develop new NFE tools and methodologies

- Expand information and knowledge by offering tools that will help young people in democratic and civic participation.

-Provide resources and relevant information for the development of critical thinking.

-To broaden the participants' vision beyond their territories by bring Europe and its environmental policies closer.



There will be an online webinar organized on 9th of January from 16:00 to 18:00 so that we can all get to know each other as well as the programme before the TC.

About the project: The participation in society exhibits diversity and differences. For young people to be involved and be active citizens, they should learn and use the skills in decision-making and participation. Most of today's youth can't involve in social problems or do not want to be involved. The asociality has reached serious levels and young people spend most of their days in the virtual world, isolating themselves. Young people need to be aware of their own roles and understand their importance as a part of society in order to get rid of the feeling of loneliness, to know themselves, and to grow up as useful individuals to society.
